Sea of Forgetfulness

Let the pale illuminess shine forth upon my brow
The cool mist of the oceans veil over my visage
The war of land and sea sooth my being
And the howl of a lone gull awake my sences.

To the North
To the South
To the East
And to the West
They all surround me
The sounds, the feelings, the taste of salt air

Tips of toes embedded in grains, purest of color
Hands outstretched, caressing the unseen giver of life
Moving,
Dancing I am,
To the beat of the pumping drum.

Oah, where art thee m'love?
So that we might dance together
become one with this wonderous scene.
So that we might walk into the cool waters, hand in hand
The pounding melody becoming louder,
Then joining in unison, as we join within nature
Walking deeper into the sea of forgetfullness
Nerver to be forgotten.
